By making lots of small changes, we can make a big difference.  We work closely with our clients and suppliers to be as environmentally friendly as we can.

With an increased focus on plant-based recipes and seasonal produce, we work hard to make our menus more sustainable.

Our procurement process takes into consideration food miles, as well as flavour, and we have an efficient ordering process to join up purchasing while monitoring waste.

Improvement from our carbon initiatives have resulted in:

Plastic waste is one of the greatest environmental challenges facing the world today and is a top priority for us. 

Single use plastics are being phased out, sustainable vending introduced and we give preference to products made from recycled materials.

Food waste isn’t great environmentally or financially so we have Waste Warriors!

Our food development team inspires with zero waste recipes, careful menu planning and creativity to use the whole food, root to tip!

We have very popular and delicious dishes in our Plant Power range.

Development in this area is booming right now and our chefs get a real kick out of creating something new and different for our students to try.

We care about the future and continue to focus on responsible sourcing, using seasonal produce, introducing more vegan and vegetarian dishes, keeping waste to a minimum and re-using and recycling to reduce the impact we have.
