Sustainable catering - nurturing our world
We source all of our perishable supplies from regional and local farmers and producers within a 50 mile radius of each of our catering locations; reducing food miles and helping the local economy thrive.
Our product specifications ensure that the goods we use are of excellent quality and we buy British, farm assured meat and poultry to ensure quality and ethical production methods are used.
By incorporating seasonally available food into our recipes and menus, we not only reduce our food miles but offer the freshest quality ingredients to our chefs. Fruits and vegetables grown locally and eaten in season are nutritionally better and of higher quality than the globally sourced, air-freighted goods common in our supermarkets - they taste better too!
Going organic
Our menus incorporate organic and fair trade items as standard and our chefs are encouraged to increase the range of these products available to our customers. Our purchasing policy supports smaller, 'niche' suppliers, so we can offer a wider range of these products, which in turn, helps these suppliers to prosper - good for them, for us, and for our clients.
Challenging ourselves every day
We use biodegradable and recyclable packaging and employ waste management specialists to recycle our trade waste. We use energy efficient production methods and environmentally friendly chemicals are standard within our business.
ISO 14001
To underscore our commitment, we were recognised in August 2009 when we were awarded the British Standard ISO 14001 for our environmental management systems and approach.
