"Aspens Catering Services has provided the catering provision at our school since January 2010. We were very impressed with their catering tender which involved consultation with governors, staff and children throughout the entire procedure.

The managers, with whom we liaise at Aspens, have been extremely helpful and supportive both within school and outside. Aspens worked hard to update training for the catering staff in school and liaised closely with the Senior Leadership Team over suitable menus.

Aspens create special themed days to illustrate to the children the variety of dishes with healthy options and also work on rewards for healthy choices, manners and considerate behaviour. They have proven to be a very proactive choice of catering company for our school and regularly request feedback on quality and suitability of menu choices, not only from staff but most importantly from the children.

The relationship between Aspens and school has become a very open and productive mechanism to reinforce the Healthy Schools agenda and this has encompassed out of school issues so that Aspens are now catering for the community at our annual school fete. As a company they are very keen to consult and discuss catering issues and to reflect upon their service delivery in consultation with the school."
